Description:

Here, I work in the Big Data Intelligence (BDI) lab, under Dr. Shubhra Kanti Karmaker (Santu). In the lab, we collaborate on various research projects, so maintaining a collaborative work structure is a must. Furthermore, all lab members are expected to keep up-to-date on emerging technologies, especially in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with each member then exploring various sub-sections of the field (Summarization, Dialogue Systems, etc.) as needed.

Description:

Here, I worked as a developer for Sweetwater's core application. This position mainly involved implementing and maintaining a long-running codebase that operates on very large amounts of data. This position required an ability to implement designs that appropriately scale with the amount of data being processed. Furthermore, members of the development team were expected to create template code whenever possible, and adhere to strict code-writing proceedures in order to maintain clean code & content over an extended period of time.

This position mainly involves writing a static, lightweight website that feels & behaves dynamically with as little intervention as possible; preserving a natural user experience while keeping the codebase easy to maintain over time.

Windows and Cryptography Specialist

Description:

Here, I mainly competed as a blue-team member, operating on Windows systems. The team's main objective was to compete in the Collegiate Cyber Defence Competition (CCDC). In order to compete, it is important to be able to work in an incredibly fast-paced, high-intensity business environment, being able to juggle multiple urgent tasks at once. Furthermore, as a team, we were expected to thoroughly document any unfamiliar workflows and help create standard operating proceedures to help both current and future members keep computer systems secure as fast as possible.
